Stick: Do you think I should hang the laundry in the bathroom where it’ll smell like turtle tank or on the balcony where it’ll smell like Beijing?

    the balcony, sure!

    let the flags flying high,
    while winds striking the shy,
    whose maiden is standing there,
    blooming behind the cherry flare?

Someone’s going to be so embarrassed!

    this is a good blog.

I like the last line, and cherry means different in English, Chinese. But it suits all here, goes together with flags and maiden.

I remembered I was in junior high in China, my mum did that all time, and it was my first date that a girl and her friends coming to my house for a karaoke party, before they here, i had to put away all the cloth and bedsheets, and after they left, i had to quickly put them back on the balcony, but the cloth were not dried as mum thought after she came back, so I learned using hair dryer to dry them… and on summer vacation they came every week, and I did that all the time.
now I am married, and I don’t give a crap about who’s coming or what my wife hanging in the living room or outside.
I gave up, and they won.

Seriously! just make up a name, anonymous people! You don’t need an email address or anything, just a clever name.

I don’t care if our drying laundry is on display… no one who comes over to our apartment has a dryer either.

On the balcony, of course. You may need the the toilet but you won’t need to run to the window in the middle of the night!

    Why you don’t need to?

There are four reasons to have a balcony:

    dry cloth after wash,
taking care business while your toilet been occupied by family,
throw out bagged trash for free air rights dumping,
summer evening dinner in really really high short and Chinese Han Shan (Sweat shirt)

one more for me, sometimes drink to much that I may try to fly, to reach the goddess in Moon, or dive into a deep sea to make a bloody splash.

    🙂

meg, don’t be mad, my name is Anonymous 😉

Thorw my trash out over the balcony? No way! The Chinese way is to hang a stinky plastic bag on the outside door handle, to give the hallway that lovely scent.
