Blog The Recession

This cute little piggy is part of Motherhood Uncensored‘s campaign to spread the clicks to blogs we love!  I’ll let her explain her plan for showing the love in August:

The premise is simple. If you read blogs, then for the month of August, make the “pledge” to click through from your feed reader. No obligation to leave a hilarious comment or send a long stalkerish email (although both, within reason, are always lovely). Just click through to the blog (not on ads unless you are so led) and if you’re feeling generous, click around to their older posts.

Just those extra page views can make a big difference for bloggers who could really use the help, or in my case, where page views don’t matter so much, a big fat ego boost.

I know I’m guilty of enjoying blogs through my feed reader, a habit I formed in China when I was never sure what sites would be Great Firewalled. I’m also guilty of never commenting, even on blogs I really love. I think it’s a sweet idea to boost the egos of good bloggers by boosting their pageviews. So, I’m jumping on the bandwagon!

Ok, Ok, guilt trip received loud and clear. :) No, actually I think I have commented here before, but life comes at you so fast, I do good to skim through Reader most days.

Congrats on being quoted in USA Today. That is pretty cool.

As far as click through for stats sake, you can actually get stats from the major feed readers also. I just wish there was an easy way to comment from the reader.

Speaking of Mommy Blogs, I will put in a pitch for my wife’s blog http://tabetha.gedeon.name

Haha! Totally not meant as a guilt trip! Besides, I already got my ego boost when you mentioned me on your blog! I wish there was a good way to comment through the reader, too, it seems to be a complicated process to say “yeah, me too”.

Always happy to find a new blog, though, thanks for the link :)
