We found mangosteens in the supermarket today! I recognized them from the Yihai market, but I really didn’t expect to find them in such close proximity to drive-thru hush puppies.

    Brodie likes dried mangosteen.

    Meg,

I had never heard of this fruit before, but with a peach, pineapple and raspberry flavor, it sounds both exotic and delicious.

Glad to hear that you were able to find some!

  3. Meg says:

@Cory I never saw a dried mangosteen! Sounds yummy but I have to admit that breaking open the fruit is half the fun.

@Andrew It was pretty cool! We weren’t really looking for it, but it jumped out at me. Do you have any wild foods in Korea?

  4. Cory says:

They have it at Trader Joe’s, IIRC

  5. Meg says:

    What does it look like?

  6. Andrew says:

    Meg,

Not too many, but that’s Ok – rice cakes seem dangerous enough for me!
