MyTribe’s New Mystery
So my favorite Facebook game, MyTribe recently added sending gifts and begging for gifts, and that’s pretty much the day I lost interest in the game. It was extra frustrating because there were so many great ways MyTribe could have … Continue reading

The Daring Game For Girls
When I wasn’t teaching or running around Manhattan with packs of teenagers, I checked out The Daring Game For Girls on the DS. I know this is the girl-player stereotype, but I just can’t overstate how important a customizable avatar … Continue reading

Stranded Without A Phone
This morning, I reviewed Stranded Without A Phone over at DIYgamer. I’m particularly proud of this review, it’s great when I can articulate exactly which parts made a game annoying and which made it awesome. (Spoiler alert: Most of it’s … Continue reading

MyTribe’s Second Island
I finally built the Great Ark and got off the island. Oh, hi, I’m talking about MyTribe again, not LOST. When your tribe completes the Ark and sails to a new island, they’ll bring everything from the first island’s storehouse, … Continue reading

Fantasy University Preview
Fantasy University is an upcoming Facebook game from Simutronics Corp. (If you’re asking yourself why that name sounds familiar, it may be because you’re old enough to have played DragonRealms on AOL.) I’ve been playing the current alpha build — … Continue reading

How LOST Will End
I started watching LOST in Yantai, so it’s been years now that I’ve been hoping to get a job working for the Dharma Initiative. I’ve fallen a month or two behind on this season (which requires avoiding Twitter on certain … Continue reading
The Argonautica
Apparently the oxygen-free heights of Denver city aren’t the real mountains, so we drove out to Idaho Springs, a gorgeous mountain town that made me want to be a pioneer even more than usual. We stopped at an a former … Continue reading
Buzz Off
So, how about that Google Buzz, huh? Google’s last toy, Google Wave, was kind of a flop for me because it seemed like a neat collaborative tool, but none of my friends were on it yet. (On a reread, doesn’t … Continue reading
Cool Breeze
Sometimes when people whine about how their town sucks or there’s nothing to do here, I secretly think they’re just not trying hard enough. Only boring people are bored, and so forth. Also, that feeling of I-hate-it-here is inextricably tied … Continue reading

Newark Airport Singalong
I’m kind of jealous that with all the time I’ve spent waiting at Newark Airport (For Christmas 2006, I flew in on AirIndia, Stick came in on British Airways and we both lost our luggage), I’ve never seen a singalong.
